Thomas Mukoya - Through The Lens: An African Perspective
Mr Thomas Mukoya is an award-winning Kenyan photojournalist based in Nairobi. A Reuters photographer since 2004, his images have given the world glimpses of Africa’s beauty and tragedy.
Mr Mukoya’s camera has documented many of Africa’s humanitarian crises, showing the circumstances of refugees and displaced people. During this lecture, Mr Mukoya will share his experiences from the frontline, and explain the stories he wants his photos to tell.
This lecture was introduced by Mr Richard Towle, UNHCR Regional Representative.
This lecture is part of Australia for UNHCR’s 10th anniversary public awareness program, highlighting the circumstances of refugees and displaced people.
