The International Criminal Court: Fighting Impunity or Failing Africa?


Ambassador Matthew Neuhaus, a senior diplomat and international lawyer, is Australian Ambassador to the Netherlands and Representative at the International Criminal Court (ICC) in The Hague. His lunchtime address will cover latest developments at the ICC with a focus on Africa. He will also discuss the current reform efforts at the Court and its impact on the issue of impunity and human rights more broadly. As Australia’s former High Commissioner in Nigeria, Ambassador in Zimbabwe and, Assistant Secretary for Africa, he has a particular interest in Africa.
