We are proudly supporting the We Bleed the Same exhibition's latest show, We Bleed the Same: Stories, at the Manly Writers' Festival in March.

The Festival runs from 14–16 March in Manly, and the Freilich Fellow for Arts Activism Liz Deep-Jones will be in attendance at a number of events, along with some of people featured in the show.

Events include:

  • Liz Deep-Jones with hip hop artist and poet Cocoa Deep-Amek to conduct a writing workshop called 'How to write what you know and love' for high school students. The session will cover the writing process and the power of art activism.
  • Cocoa will perform his anti-racism poems during the Poetry Salon special event.
  • Liz Deep-Jones will be in conversation with Midnight Oil’s Jim Moginie, who is also featured in the We Bleed The Same : Stories exhibition. He’ll be launching his new book ‘The Silver River’ and his journey with Midnight Oil and art/political activism.
